About us
Representation
We are a small group of people representing the following faith groups:
- Anglican Diocese of York
- York and Hull Methodist District
- Religious Society of Friends and Quakers
- United Reformed Church (East Yorkshire)
- Christian Aid
- Hull Fairtrade City Project
- York Fairtrade Forum
- Roman Catholic Diocese of Middlesborough
We welcome involvement from people in all walks of life, and who share our belief that poverty is man made.
We will be judged on our actions in this world and we will not rest whilst people die from man made poverty.

- Religious Society of Friends and Quakers, three areas (21)
- Roman Catholic Diocese of Middlesborough (90)
- Salvation Army (21)
- United Reformed Church, East Yorkshire District. (19)

- Yorkshire Baptist Association, Eastern Area (11)
Click Fairtrade Churches for statistics and Fairtrade Status details of each church.
Fairtrade Churches Project - Alignment
The Anglican, Methodist and Roman Catholic denominations are well aligned for our statistics. However, the other denominations do not align clearly with the Anglican Diocese of York, and hence the statistics are less supportive of Fairtrade Denomination Status.
Also there are churches within the Project area that belong to Dioceses and Districts that are not part of the project. We are happy to record details of Fairtrade activity and encourage participation in our activities. However, these churches cannot be included in our statistics.
